Love on the Bird's Wing (Sevda Kuşun Kanadında) (translated)

Sevda Kuşun Kanadında is a Turkish television drama produced by Sonart Medya and broadcast on TRT 1. Blending historical drama with romance, it premiered on 29 April 2016 and ran for two seasons, ending with its 31st episode on 28 March 2017.

The story unfolds in Turkey during the late 1960s and the 1970s, portraying the era's political polarization, student unrest and social upheaval from a nationalist point of view. Against this backdrop, love stories between the characters carry the narrative of a generation; certain figures in the script were modeled on prominent political and cultural personalities of the period. In a later episode, musician Mustafa Yıldızdoğan made a guest appearance portraying Alparslan Türkeş.

Murat Ünalmış and Sevtap Özaltun head the cast, which also features Ufuk Bayraktar, Deniz Baysal, Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu, Tolga Ortancıl, Duygu Gürcan and İlker Kızmaz in supporting roles.
