Dejan Aćimović — Biography
Dejan Aćimović was born on May 20, 1963, in Čapljina, in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is a Croatian actor, director and screenwriter. He began his acting career in the late 1990s, going on to work in both film and television.
He is internationally best known for his role in Grbavica (Esma's Secret, 2006), a film addressing the aftermath of the Bosnian War that won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. He also appeared in a series of mid-2000s productions including Remake, Mathilde, Horseman and Infection, as well as the 2010 film 72 Days.
In addition to acting, Aćimović has also worked as a director and screenwriter, establishing himself as a recognized figure in Balkan cinema.
