Demet Gül — Biography
Demet Gül was born on 19 April 1982 in Stuttgart, Germany, to a family of Turkish immigrants. She trained in performing arts at the Falckenberg Schule in Munich and afterward worked in stage productions with the Bayerische Theaterakademie and the Bavarian State Opera; her career has also included work as a screenwriter and producer.
She entered film with the young Fatma role in Almanya: Welcome to Germany (2011), and Turkish audiences first knew her as Maşuka in Ulan İstanbul. Her real breakthrough came as Tuval in the Show TV series Aşk Laftan Anlamaz, alongside Hande Erçel and Burak Deniz.
She has since played Meryem in Arka Sokaklar, Hacer in Akrep and Türkan in Annenin Sırrıdır Çocuk, along with parts in Maide'nin Altın Günü, Küçük Esnaf and Dünya Hali. From 2024 she has continued working in the series Prens, Temelli Misafir and Bahar.
