Doğaç Yıldız — Biography

Doğaç Yıldız was born on 16 September 1991 in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul, the only child of State Theatres actors Seda Yıldız and Sevinç Erol. He lived with his family in Trabzon until the age of four and then moved back to Istanbul. He started acting at eight in the film Babamı Hırsızlar Çaldı, and at ten moved into television with Tatlı Hayat, which starred Türkan Şoray and Haluk Bilginer. He later graduated from the Theatre Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

He became widely known as Efe in the series İki Aile (2006), and around the same time also appeared in Eyvah Halam and Gece Gündüz. As an adult he played Şehzade Kasım in Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem, took on the character Yiğit in Yasak Elma and played Levent in the film Her Şey Seninle Güzel. He appeared on the big screen in İyi Oyun, and the international production I Am You, in which he had a role, premiered at the Rome Film Festival. In 2024 he played Tufan in Korkma Ben Yanındayım and in 2025 Kerim in Umami, before drawing attention as Mustafa in Güller ve Günahlar.

Also praised for his stage work, Yıldız received the Best Young Talent award at the 2015-2016 Ekin Yazın Dostları Awards for his performance in Woyzeck. In March 2026 he proposed to Başak Çoruh in front of the pyramids in Egypt, and the couple became engaged that summer.
