Ebru Destan — Biography

Born on 24 September 1977 in İzmir, Ebru Destan started out as one of Turkey's leading runway models before leaving modelling for acting, making her first television appearance in 1992 in Mahallenin Muhtarları; through the 1990s and 2000s she took roles in series including İlişkiler, Unutabilsem, Ayşecik, Baba, Kurt Kapanı, Zor Hedef, Abuzer Kadayıf, Aşkına Eşkıya, Yeni Hayat, Hayat Bilgisi, Aliye, Para=Dolar and Yahşi Cazibe.

In 2005 she released the album Sözümü Yemedim on the Seyhan Müzik label, whose opening track "Tokat" charted, followed in 2007 by Ayrılık Soğuk İklim, notable for the song "Boyfriend," which she reissued in 2008 as 3 Vakte Kadar with the added track "Bu Konu Kapandı." In 2011 she competed on Acun Ilıcalı's Survivor Ünlüler-Gönüllüler alongside contestants such as Özge Ulusoy and Nihat Doğan, finishing in the top six, and married Mete Okay İnan the same year, with whom she had two children; she is the aunt of actor Berk Atan. After playing Özlem in the 2017 series Cennetin Gözyaşları, she returned to television following a long break, joining Eşref Rüya as Necla in 2025 and drawing attention for her performance.
