Erkan Petekkaya — Biography

Erkan Petekkaya (born December 11, 1970, in Elazığ) is a Turkish theatre, film, and television actor. He graduated from the Anadolu University State Conservatory in 1993 and performed as a permanent artist at the State Theatres from that year on; his screen journey began in 1998 with the series Güzel Günler.

He became widely known through Beyaz Gelincik (2005-2007), then played leading roles in highly rated series such as Sessiz Fırtına (2007), Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki (2010), Dila Hanım (2012), and Paramparça (2014-2017, as Cihan). In cinema he appeared in the films Serseri (2003), Son Bahar (2008), Gecenin Kanatları (2009), Kolpaçino 3. Devre (2016), and Ayla (2017), and portrayed Vlad the Impaler in a 2018 historical film. Having signed with Karga Seven Pictures in 2017 and spent some time in Los Angeles, Petekkaya stayed on screen with Kırmızı Oda (2020), Sana Söz (2021), and O Kız (2022); in 2026 he played a force commander in TRT's July 15-themed series Asırlık Gece.
