Évelyne Bouix — Biography

Évelyne Bouix, born Évelyne Lina Madeleine Bouix on 22 April 1953 in Charenton-le-Pont, is a French stage and film actress whose career began in 1970 and spans more than sixty productions. She is perhaps best remembered for playing Fantine in Les Misérables and Edith Piaf in Édith et Marcel, alongside roles in Bolero, A Man and a Woman: 20 Years Later, and Beaumarchais the Scoundrel. In 1999 she was named a Knight of the French National Order of Merit. She is married to fellow actor Pierre Arditi.
