Kubilay Penbeklioğlu — Biography
Kubilay Penbeklioğlu was born on 10 March 1967 in Ankara. He was admitted to the Theatre Department of the Faculty of Languages, History and Geography at Ankara University and graduated in 1995 with Dario Fo's 'Accidental Death of an Anarchist' as his thesis production.
He began his acting career in 2001 with the series Benimle Evlenir misin and went on to appear in series such as Sırlar Dünyası, Emret Komutanım, Hırsız Polis, Doktorlar, Hazreti Yusuf and Akasya Durağı. In cinema he acted in films including Kirpi, Romantik Komedi, Kolpaçino: Bomba, Romantik Komedi 2: Bekarlığa Veda, Fındık İşi and Kolpaçino 3. Devre.
In 2016 he portrayed the character Turgut in the series Kalbimdeki Deniz; in 2024 he appeared in Kirli Sepeti as the school principal Mümtaz, and in 2025 he joined the cast of the series Zembilli. Also a voice actor, Penbeklioğlu was appointed head of the Manisa City Theatre in 2024.
