The Role of My Life (Hayatımın Rolü) (translated)

The Role of My Life is a Turkish television series produced by Süreç Film that debuted on Star TV on July 9, 2012. Blending family drama with comedy, the show failed to attract a lasting audience and wrapped up after its 19th episode on December 10, 2012. Gamze Özer penned the screenplay, while directing duties were shared by Sadullah Celen and Hakan Arslan; İnci Kırhan Gündoğdu and Ali Gündoğdu served as producers.

The series was adapted for Turkish viewers from the film Mrs. Doubtfire, led by Robin Williams. Its principal cast featured Haluk Bilginer, Bekir Aksoy, Ebru Özkan, Ebru Aykaç, and İlhan Şeşen, supported by performers such as Su Kutlu, Edis Görgülü, Alisa Sezen Sever, and Güzin Özyağcılar. During its run, the production drew criticism over the foreign nanny character's treatment of the children and the way the confiscation of passports was portrayed as an ordinary practice.
