Oğuzhan Yarımay — Biography

Oğuzhan Yarımay is a Turkish actor born in Istanbul on April 25, 1992. He is widely known for playing the character Oğuz Alp in the historical series Diriliş Ertuğrul, broadcast on TRT 1.

Yarımay completed his higher education in the Economics Department at Istanbul University, and despite his academic background lying outside acting, he chose to pursue his career in front of the camera. His screen work began in the mid-2010s and has progressed mainly through television series.

He had his first notable television experience in the cast of the military-themed action series Savaşçı, which featured names such as Berk Oktay, Ebru Şahin, Fırat Albayram, Onur Özaydın, Alican Albayrak, and Bahadır Vatanoğlu; he then appeared in the foreign short film Nyctophilia.

The work that truly boosted the actor's recognition was Diriliş Ertuğrul, which began airing in 2014. Joining the cast of the series — directed by Metin Günay and reaching a wide audience — in a later season, Yarımay brought the character Oğuz Alp to life. The large cast included names such as Engin Altan Düzyatan, Aslıhan Güner, Ayberk Pekcan, Burak Hakkı, Hülya Darcan, Barış Bağcı, Batuhan Karacakaya, and Birand Tunca.
