Sevcan Yaşar — Biography

Sevcan Yaşar is a Turkish model and actress born in 1990 in İzmir. In 2011, at age 21, she won the 23rd Miss Model of Turkey title before going on to win the Miss Model of World pageant held in Shenzhen, China. After graduating from the Biology Department of Ege University, she moved to Istanbul and trained in acting at the Theatre Department of Yeditepe University.

She began her acting career in 2012 with the series Kayıp Şehir and Böyle Bitmesin, then joined the cast of Aramızda Kalmasın (2013). She gained wide recognition playing Esra across three seasons (2015-2017) of ATV's Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz. She went on to appear in Bahtiyar Ölmez (2017), the films Dalavere and İki İyi Çocuk (2018), the series Erkenci Kuş (2018), the series Evlilik Hakkında Her Şey (2021) as lawyer Neyran, and the film Ah Be Birader (2022). In November 2020 a court granted her a restraining order in a violence case she brought against her then ex-boyfriend, actor Sermiyan Midyat. In November 2022 she got engaged to, and the same month married, musician İrsel Çivit.
