Alemin Kıralı (Alemin Kralı)

Alemin Kralı (King of the World) is a Turkish television comedy produced by Süreç Film, first broadcast on 16 September 2011. Blending sitcom, absurdist humor and family elements, it ran for two seasons and ended on 27 March 2013 after 67 episodes.

The narrative centers on Aslan Kıral, a modest-income man who lives as a live-in son-in-law in his wealthy mother-in-law's grand house. Sharing a roof with his wife Mehveş, their daughters and his sister-in-law Jülide, Aslan constantly battles the schemes of his mother-in-law Asalet, who never accepted him. Jülide's odd suitors eager to marry her and the household's endless bickering provide much of the show's comic fuel.

Led by Şafak Sezer, Oya Başar, Evrim Akın, Metin Yıldız and Zeynep Gülmez, the series stood out among its era's Turkish comedies through its exaggerated character types and absurdist storytelling.
