Füsun Erbulak — Biography

Esma Füsun Erbulak, born on 25 June 1943 in Istanbul, is a Turkish theatre and film actress, writer and translator. After studying at Notre Dame de Sion, she graduated from the theatre department of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory and began her professional stage career at the Dormen Theatre in 1962. She married Altan Erbulak, whom she met at the same theatre, and later performed with various theatre companies.

Also known as a writer, her books Altmış Günlük Bir Şey (1984) and Burgu (1986) were confiscated by the judiciary of the time; she also worked as a translator and journalist. On television she appeared in series such as Aşk Meydan Savaşı (2002), Çemberimde Gül Oya (2004), Galip Derviş (2013) and Hayat Şarkısı (2016). The mother of actress Sevinç Erbulak, she has been giving acting training at Erbulak Evi, which opened in 2014.
