The Dark Face of the Moon (Ayın Karanlık Yüzü)

The Dark Face of the Moon is a 2005 Turkish romantic drama directed by Biket İlhan. Shot in Türkiye and performed in Turkish, the film runs about 100 minutes.

Its story follows four prisoners who break out of jail on a stormy night. After the boat carrying them sinks, the escapees reach shore believing they have landed on a Greek island, when in fact they are on Gökçeada. This misunderstanding forms the core of the film's tense and dramatic mood.

The leading roles are shared by Ali Poyrazoğlu, Memet Ali Alabora, and Sanem Çelik.
