Banana Peel
Banana Peel (original title: Peau de banane) is a 1963 French-Italian comedy directed by Marcel Ophüls and starring Jeanne Moreau and Jean-Paul Belmondo. The supporting cast includes well-known performers of the era such as Claude Brasseur, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Gert Fröbe, and Alain Cuny.
The screenplay is credited to Charles Williams, Marcel Ophüls, and Claude Sautet, while the costumes were designed by celebrated fashion designer Pierre Cardin. On its release in France the film drew roughly 1.9 million admissions, bringing together two of the biggest stars of 1960s French cinema in a lighthearted comedy.
