The Spring That Never Came (Gelmeyen Bahar) (translated)

Gelmeyen Bahar (The Spring That Never Came) is a 2013 Turkish drama released in theaters on March 8, 2013, deliberately coinciding with International Women's Day. The 140-minute film, produced by Yağmur Yapım, marked the directorial debut of Emrah Erdoğan (İpek), widely known as "Küçük Emrah"; he also co-wrote the screenplay together with Tarkan Ateşmen.

The story tackles honor-based oppression and violence against women. Bahar, an 18-year-old factory worker with dreams of her own, finds her fate already decided by her family: wedged between a silent mother, a retired father seeking happiness elsewhere and an unemployed brother, she faces her uncle's plan to marry her to his son, until a tragic event forces her to flee. The cast includes Ayten Uncuoğlu, Orhan Alkaya, Hasan Küçükçetin, Beyza Şekerci and Turgay Tanülkü.
