Rina

Rina is a Turkish drama-comedy film directed by Şenol Sönmez, with a screenplay co-written by Levent Pala and Ali Erkan Ersezer. Released in Turkey on 9 April 2010, the 105-minute film stayed in theaters for eleven weeks and builds a warm, nostalgic atmosphere around island life. It is described as a metaphor born of the resemblance between an island's solitude and human loneliness, questioning what we sacrifice while chasing our dreams.

The story follows three close friends who grew up on an island, Ali, Ömer and Umut, whose shared dream is to open a winery together. Ali works on the beach and waits each summer for the girl he loves, Ömer develops his own wine formulas while working in his father's vineyard, and Umut is devoted to Zehra, who weaves baskets. The cast includes Çağlar Çorumlu, Cüneyt Türel, Cezmi Baskın, Ayten Uncuoğlu, Erdal Tosun and Merve Sevi.
