The Lost Dream (Genco)
Genco is a Turkish television series that ran on Kanal D between 2007 and 2008. Produced by D Productions and directed by Kemal Uzun, it lasted a single season and signed off with its 51st episode.
A social melodrama, it turns on Genco, the young man who gives the series its name, and his entanglements with Özge, Ahmet and Pınar.
Alpay Kemal Atalan, Selen Seyven, Hazal Kaya, Faik Ergin and Orhan Şimşek took the leading roles, with Burak Demir, Dila Bayrak, Enis Arıkan, Mustafa Vural and Zeynep Aydemir also in the cast.
The show travelled well beyond Turkey. It was dubbed into Arabic in the Syrian dialect and broadcast on MBC 4 as The Lost Dream, and it aired in Bulgaria under the title Guardian Angel.
