The Diary (Günce) (translated)
Günce ("The Diary") is a 2013 Turkish drama film co-directed by Kemal Uzun and Gürcan Mete Şener from a screenplay by Namık Üstünel. Produced by Akademi Prodüksiyon with a score by Cahit Berkay, the 94-minute picture reached Turkish cinemas on 4 October 2013, distributed by Tiglon.
The story follows Cengiz, a radio host whose life outside the studio revolves entirely around his wife and daughter. A single Sunday shatters that comfortable routine, and as Cengiz tries to rebuild a more modest existence, his young daughter Günce becomes the center of his world — until he is confronted with the risk of losing the five-year-old girl as well.
Cemal Hünal stars as radio host Cengiz, with Leyla Lydia Tuğutlu as Aslı and Nisa Melis Telli as little Günce. The supporting cast includes Gürkan Uygun, Ayça Varlıer, Pamir Pekin, Erdal Küçükkömürcü and Mustafa Vural, while singer Haluk Levent appears as himself.
