L'impossible Monsieur Pipelet
L'impossible Monsieur Pipelet is a 1955 French comedy-drama directed by André Hunebelle. The film stars two giants of French cinema, Michel Simon and Louis de Funès, alongside a supporting cast that includes Gaby Morlay, Georges Bever and Gaston Orbal. Running about 87 minutes, the French-language production features a screenplay by Jean Halain and blends the comic and dramatic tones typical of French filmmaking of the period.
The picture was released under several titles abroad: internationally in English as The Impossible Mr. Pipelet, while in Belgium it appeared as Ma fille et ses amours in French and Mijn dochter is verliefd in Flemish. It is also remembered today as one of the earlier screen appearances of Louis de Funès, who would go on to become one of France's most beloved comic actors.
