Le Pacha

Le Pacha is a 1968 French-Italian crime film directed by Georges Lautner, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michel Audiard and Albert Simonin. Based on Jean Laborde's novel Pouce!, the film stars Jean Gabin and Dany Carrel, with Jean Gaven and André Pousse among the supporting cast.

Gabin plays Joss, a senior Paris police commissioner on the verge of retirement, who refuses to believe that the death of his colleague Albert Gouvion was an accident. Determined to avenge his friend, he hunts down those responsible, and his investigation pulls him deep into the city's underworld as he pursues a ruthless killer. Filming took place in late 1967, and the film was released on 14 March 1968.
