Michel Charrel — Biography
Michel Charrel was born on 13 September 1936 in the French town of Tarare; he was 89 when he died in the 15th arrondissement of Paris on 14 February 2026. Raised in a family that ran a grocery shop, he trained at the well-known film school Institut des hautes études cinématographiques, where he obtained his baccalaureate. His major roles began arriving during the 1960s, and his filmography widened considerably through the 1970s, with credits in French productions such as Fantômas, Le Pacha, Murmur of the Heart and Flic Story. He is also remembered for a part in Luis Buñuel's Belle de Jour. Across a career spanning roughly five decades he appeared in more than thirty films.
