The Leopard's Tail (Leoparın Kuyruğu) (translated)

Leoparın Kuyruğu is a 1998 Turkish feature film directed and written by Turgut Yasalar. Running about 90 minutes, the production features Yetkin Dikinciler among its cast.

The film tells the story of five revolutionary young friends who want to free their comrades held in prison. To achieve this, they kidnap an American soldier and take him hostage, and as the operation unfolds they are forced to confront the tensions rising within the group and their shrinking options. The narrative uses this enclosed situation to observe the conflict between the characters' convictions and their fears. In the year of its release, the film earned Turgut Yasalar the Best Screenplay award at the 35th Golden Orange Film Festival.
