Palermo - Milan One Way

Palermo - Milan One Way (Italian: Palermo Milano - Solo andata) is a 1995 Italian crime-action film directed by Claudio Fragasso, starring Giancarlo Giannini, Raoul Bova, Stefania Sandrelli and Valerio Mastandrea.

After serving years in prison for his mafia ties, Turi Leofonte agrees to turn state's witness and must be transferred from Palermo to Milan to testify. The small police escort assigned to protect him finds itself hunted along the way by mafia gunmen determined to silence him before he can talk. Over the course of the perilous journey, a tense bond slowly forms between the officers and the man they are guarding.

The film premiered at the 1995 Venice Film Festival and went on to win David di Donatello Awards for best sound and best producer. A sequel directed by Fragasso, Milano Palermo - Il ritorno, followed in 2007.
