The Eighties (Seksenler) (translated)

Seksenler (The Eighties) is a long-running Turkish television series that began airing on TRT 1 on January 24, 2012, combining nostalgia, romance, and situational comedy. Produced by MinT Motion Pictures, the series, as its name suggests, is set in 1980s Turkey and portrays the daily lives of the residents of a neighborhood along with the atmosphere of the era.

The series, which aired for ten seasons, underwent significant changes in terms of both its broadcast frequency and the era it depicted; while it aired weekly in its early seasons, it later aired every weekday, and its story gradually shifted towards the 1990s. The production concluded in 2022 with its 655th episode.

Among the extensive cast, Rasim Öztekin stood out; the cast also included actors such as Ceyhun Fersoy, Pelin Akil, Serhat Kılıç, Aylin Kontente, Begüm Öner, Emre Taştekin, Ayşe Tolga, and Bahar Süer.
