Aylin Kontente — Biography

Aylin Kontente was born on 30 June 1982 in İzmir to a family of Sephardic Jewish background. After graduating from the acting program at Dokuz Eylül University in 2003, she began her professional career that same year in Kampüsistan, playing Esma in Sevgili Dünürüm and Hande in Son Ders: Aşk ve Üniversite. She went on to roles in Yaprak Dökümü and Sır Gibi, and appeared as well in Haneler, Babam Sağolsun, Yıldız Masalı and Seksenler.

Since 2013 her role as Burcu Yerler in Show TV's sketch programme Güldür Güldür Show has made her one of the country's most recognisable comedy performers. She played Vildan in Olur Olur (2014) and a character sharing her own first name, Tatlım, in Tatlım Tatlım (2017).

Kontente married fellow actor Alper Kul in 2012, and the couple have two sons, Arel and Leo; they have occasionally discussed their long relationship in interviews.
