The Owner of Hell
Malek-e Doozakh (The Owner of Hell) is a 1970 Iranian romantic drama film written and directed by Amir Shervan and produced by Mehdi Mesibi for Sierra Film. Made in the Persian language, it belongs to the commercial popular cinema of pre-revolutionary Iran.
The cast includes Füruzan, Gholam-Reza Sarkub, Yadollah Mohammadinejad, Manuçehr Vüsuk and Humayun Tebrizyan, all familiar faces of Iranian cinema of the era. The film is among the works Shervan made in his home country before he relocated to the United States, where he continued his directing career. Detailed plot information about the film is scarce, as is common with many Iranian productions of that period.
