Togan Gökbakar — Biography
Togan Gökbakar (born 29 May 1984 in İzmir) is a Turkish film director, screenwriter and producer. He studied cinema and television at Istanbul Bilgi University and is the younger brother of actor Şahan Gökbakar.
He directed his first feature film, the horror movie Gen, in 2006. He then directed the Recep İvedik comedy series developed with his brother; launched in 2008 and running to seven films, it became one of the most-watched comedy franchises in Turkish cinema.
His other directorial works include Celal ile Ceren (2013), Osman Pazarlama (2016), Kayhan (2018) and Erdal ile Ece (2024). He also produced Kayhan and Recep İvedik 5.
