Gen is a 2006 Turkish horror-thriller film and the feature directorial debut of Togan Gökbakar. Written by Murat Toktamışoğlu, Güray Ölgü and Alper Mestçi, and produced by Tigon on a budget of roughly one million dollars, it opened in cinemas on 7 April 2006 and drew more than 173,000 admissions in Turkey.

The story follows Deniz, a psychiatrist newly assigned to a mental hospital in a remote, desolate area. When a patient commits suicide on her first day and heavy winter conditions cut the hospital off from the outside world, a string of mysterious murders turns the institution into a nightmare. Doğa Rutkay leads the cast alongside Yurdaer Okur, Mahmut Gökgöz, Haldun Boysan, Cemil Büyükdöğerli and Sefa Zengin, while Şahan Gökbakar appears as one of the patients.
