Alper Saldıran — Biography

Alper Saldıran was born on 16 September 1984 in Istanbul. He first took the stage at the age of five in kindergarten plays, and during his childhood he also pursued folk dance, particularly Caucasian dances. After graduating from a tourism high school, he enrolled in the Tourism Department of Marmara University, where his portrayal of Yusuf in Turgut Özakman's play Fehim Paşa Konağı earned him a best supporting actor award at an inter-university theatre competition. He left tourism studies in his second year and moved to the Theatre Department of Yeditepe University on a scholarship in 2005.

His television career began in 2004 with the series Bir Dilim Aşk, followed by Kara İnci, Derman and Melekler Korusun. He made his cinema debut as Fatih Karakuş in Anadolu Kartalları (2011), and his role as Recai in Sağ Salim (2012) made him a familiar face to film audiences. His portrayal of Ömer in Beni Böyle Sev (2013-2015) brought him wide popularity.

He went on to appear in series such as Kalbim Ege'de Kaldı, Aşk ve Gurur, Bir Aile Hikayesi, Masumlar Apartmanı and Aşkın Tarifi, the Netflix production Yakamoz S-245, and the film Cem Karaca'nın Gözyaşları. He has also remained active on stage in productions including Çehov Makinesi and Kürk Mantolu Madonna.
