Safe and Sound (Sağ Salim) (translated)
Sağ Salim is a 2012 Turkish comedy film directed by Ersoy Güler, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ali Alper Erze. It follows Salim (Burçin Bildik), a naive Anatolian villager terrified of death and the dead, who is pressed by his village headman into transporting a coffin from Değirmendere, a village in Mersin's Silifke district, to his hometown of Sivas — and the comic mishaps that follow along the way.
The film stars Burçin Bildik, Fulya Zenginer, and Alper Saldıran, with Oğuzhan Uğur and Nazlı Tosunoğlu also in the cast; Saldıran plays Recai, a stranger who helps Salim on the road. Released in cinemas on 18 May 2012, the film was later followed by a sequel, Sağ Salim 2: Sil Baştan.
