Aslıhan Gürbüz — Biography

Born Emine Aslıhan Gürbüz on 16 February 1983 in Çanakkale, she moved with her family to the İnegöl district of Bursa at the age of five and a half, completing her primary and secondary education there. She graduated at the top of her class from the Theatre Department of the Selçuk University Conservatory, and began her acting career in 2004 with the series 'Büyük Buluşma'.

She reached wide recognition in 2009 as Asiye Bulut in 'Bir Bulut Olsam', written by Meral Okay. Her role as the Azerbaijani character Cazibe Abbasova in 'Yahşi Cazibe' (2010-2012) became a career turning point, earning her the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Comedy Actress and the Antalya Television Award in 2011. That same year she married actor Kerem Kupacı; the couple divorced in 2014.

She went on to appear in series including 'Zeytin Tepesi', 'Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem' as Halime Sultan, 'Ufak Tefek Cinayetler' as Merve, 'Masumlar Apartmanı' as Ceylan Ongun and 'Kral Kaybederse', alongside films such as 'Kanal-i Zasyon', 'Labirent', 'Kor', 'Hazine', 'Kuvvetli Bir Alkış', 'Mukadderat' and 'Lefter: Bir Ordinaryüs Hikayesi'.
