If I Were a Cloud (Bir Bulut Olsam) (translated)

Bir Bulut Olsam (If I Were a Cloud) is a Turkish drama series produced by Tims Productions, with Timur Savcı as producer, that aired on Kanal D from February 23 to December 24, 2009. Directed by Ulaş İnaç and written by Meral Okay, with music composed by Aytekin Ataş, it stars Melisa Sözen, Engin Akyürek, Engin Altan Düzyatan and Aslıhan Gürbüz.

The story unfolds in Güzelyurt, a border village near Mardin set within a mined area along the Syrian frontier. Narin Bulut, a fragile young woman who shares all her troubles with the clouds and with God, suffers under the weight of Mustafa's obsessive love. Everything changes when Dr. Serdar Batur, who spent years working in UN health programs in the world's hot spots, arrives in the village and, together with his mother, tries to rescue Narin from her torment. The series ran for two seasons and ended with its 29th episode.
