Boncuk Yılmaz — Biography

Boncuk Yılmaz was born on May 13, 1981 in Istanbul. The actress, a graduate of the Press and Broadcasting Department of the Faculty of Communication at Anadolu University, stepped into acting thanks to director Ahmet Uluçay, whom she met during a train journey; for her role as Nihal in Uluçay's first and only film, Karpuz Kabuğundan Gemiler Yapmak (2004), she was honored with the Promising Young Actress Award at the 26th SİYAD Turkish Cinema Awards. Having appeared in the series Sessiz Gece, Kızlar Yurdu, Sıla, Haneler and Bir Yastıkta, Yılmaz became widely known for her portrayal of Saadet in the series Çukur, broadcast on Show TV in 2017-2021. The actress, who also appeared in the film Kaygı, brought the character Nazmiye to life in the series Ateş Kuşları, joined the cast of the series Sorgu, and portrayed Sevgi in the Netflix production Zeytin Ağacı, whose final season met audiences in 2026. Boncuk Yılmaz is married to Fethi Kantarcı.
