Boncuk Yılmaz — Biography

Boncuk Yılmaz was born on 13 May 1981 in Istanbul and graduated from the Press and Broadcasting Department of Anadolu University's Faculty of Communication. She began acting after meeting director Ahmet Uluçay on a train journey, playing Nihal in his only film, Karpuz Kabuğundan Gemiler Yapmak (2004), a role that brought her the Promising Young Actress award at the 26th SİYAD Turkish Cinema Awards. She went on to appear in Sessiz Gece, Kızlar Yurdu, Sıla as Narin, Haneler, Mazi Kalbimde Yaradır and Bir Yastıkta, then became widely known for playing Saadet in Çukur on Show TV between 2017 and 2021. In May 2013 she married actor Fethi Kantarcı, with whom she has a son, Kılıç Ali. She has continued with the film Kaygı and the series Ateş Kuşları as Nazmiye and Sorgu as Selim Manoğlu, and played Sevgi in the Netflix series Zeytin Ağacı, whose final season aired in 2026.
