Sila (Sıla) (translated)

Sıla is a Turkish television series that aired on ATV between 2006 and 2008. Produced by Most Production and Fm Yapım, it is a drama and romance series that ran for 3 seasons and a total of 79 episodes. The story primarily takes place between Mardin and Istanbul.

The series tells the story of Sıla, who was separated from her family at the age of three and given to a wealthy family in Istanbul. Years later, in order to save her brother's life, she is forced into a marriage with Boran, a tribal chief she has never met. Caught between the strict traditions of the East and the world of a young woman raised in Istanbul, Sıla's passionate and conflicted story unfolds through the strong love she develops for Boran.

Cansu Dere plays the lead role; the cast also includes Boncuk Yılmaz, Celil Nalçakan, Cemal Toktaş, Tayanç Ayaydın, and Hümeyra. Sezen Aksu and Sıla Gençoğlu's contributions to the series' music are noteworthy. The series, titled "Sıla," reached a wide audience during its broadcast and subsequently garnered significant attention in many countries, including the Arab world, the Balkans, and Latin America.
