Burak Topaloğlu — Biography

Burak Topaloğlu was born on 4 January 1988 in Bakırköy, İstanbul. He attended Hamdullah Suphi Tanrıöver Primary School in Yeşilköy and went on to graduate from Bahçeşehir Atatürk High School. His first steps on stage came as an amateur with the Avcılar Municipal Theatre, and he later trained as an actor in the Theatre Department of the Conservatory at Haliç University.

After his conservatory training he moved into film with the 2012 production Sabit Kanca. His real breakthrough came with the BKM sketch comedy show Güldür Güldür, broadcast on Show TV, where he has played the character Bahadır since around 2013-2014; the role introduced him to a wide audience and remains the part he is best known for. While keeping his place in that cast, he also appeared in the 2016 series Dedemin Fişi. Working across theatre, film and television, he continues to take on new projects.

In his private life, he became engaged to actress Ezgi Tanır in June 2022. The couple married quietly that autumn, and when Topaloğlu announced the marriage on social media in November 2022 the news was widely covered by the entertainment press.
