Duygu Çetinkaya — Biography

Kurdela in the Çılgın Dersane series remains the best-known role of Duygu Çetinkaya, a Turkish actress and television presenter. Her role as Sezen in the drama Binbir Gece won her the Promising Actor award at the 2009 Elit Awards, and she took part in the Survivor competitions in 2013 and 2015.

The daughter of a soldier, she grew up in cities such as Ankara, İzmir, İskenderun and Erdek, spent part of her high school years in Stockholm and graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Gazi University. She first appeared on camera in 2003 in the series Türkü; from 2005 she presented the technology programme Silikon Vadisi on Show TV with Dinçer Karaca for two years, and in 2009 she co-hosted the youth programme Dördüncü Aranıyor, in a format she wrote herself.

She carried the Kurdela role, begun in the 2007 films Çılgın Dersane and Çılgın Dersane Kampta, into the series Çılgın Dersane Üniversitede (2013) and Çılgın Dersane 3 (2014). On television she acted in Cumhur Cemaat, Binbir Gece, Seni Bana Yazmışlar and Firar; her film credits include Nekrüt (2008), Özcan Deniz's Ya Sonra? (2011) and Çat Kapı Aşk (2017). She represented the Volunteers team for ten weeks in Survivor Ünlüler-Gönüllüler (2013), and she took part in Survivor All Star (2015).
