Ece Özdikici — Biography

Ece Özdikici was born on 2 July 1982 in İzmir. She discovered the stage very early: at the age of eight she passed an audition held by the İzmir State Theatre and was cast as a child actor in its productions. Drawn to painting as well, she studied in the Painting Department of İzmir Anatolian Fine Arts High School, then moved to İstanbul to study performing arts at Mimar Sinan University. As a student she worked as an assistant to the veteran stage actress Zeliha Berksoy, and she later completed a master's degree in film and drama at Kadir Has University.

She began acting professionally with the Bakırköy Municipal Theatres, moved in front of the camera from 2004 and first attracted wide notice with Bir Aşk Hikayesi. After series such as Sır Gibi, M.A.T, Küçük Hanımefendi, Dila Hanım and Cinayet, her breakthrough came as the ambitious, scheming daughter-in-law Songül Umman in Poyraz Karayel. She went on to play Dr. Jale in Kadın, Funda Yıldırım in Benim Adım Melek and Cansu Acarsoy in Erkek Severse, and also appeared in Yasak Elma. On film she acted in Sizi Seviyorum and Mor Ufuklar, the latter earning her the best supporting actress award at the 6th Madrid International Film Festival in 2017.

Still devoted to theatre, she was on stage in 2025 with the play Miss Turkey. Her marriage to Mert Duyal ended in divorce in 2020, and in September 2025 she married Ahmet Uzun in Bodrum.
