Melisa Aslı Pamuk — Biography

Melisa Aslı Pamuk was born on April 14, 1991, in Haarlem, Netherlands, to a family with roots in İskenderun; at thirteen she began acting as Hayal in the Dutch short film Dat zit wel snor, directed by Tamara Miranda, and started modeling at fourteen. She enrolled in psychology at the University of Amsterdam but paused it for her Miss Turkey career, and speaks fluent Turkish, English, Dutch and German plus some French.

After winning Best Promising Model at Best Model of Turkey in 2009, she was crowned Miss Turkey 2011, taking the crown from Gizem Memiç, and represented Turkey at Miss Universe in São Paulo. Her Turkish acting career began with a phone commercial; she trained at the Sadri Alışık Culture Center, took a lead role in Yer Gök Aşk in 2012, and that year debuted on film in G.D.O. KaraKedi.

She went on to Ulan İstanbul, Kurt Seyit ve Şura and Kara Sevda, winning "Rising Stars" at the 2016 Pantene Golden Butterfly and "Best Supporting Actress" at the 2017 Ayaklı Gazete Awards for Asu Kozcuoğlu. After Cemre in Çarpışma, she appeared in Yeni Hayat, Hayaller ve Hayatlar, EGO, and films including Asla Vazgeçme, Cem Karaca'nın Gözyaşları and Sen Büyümeye Bak. She married footballer Yusuf Yazıcı in 2024; their son Mylan followed in 2025.
