Murat Han — Biography

Born on 1 May 1975, Murat Han grew up in Ankara and graduated from the Theatre Department of Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. In 1998 he moved to Los Angeles to train at the Stella Adler Academy, studied script analysis with Charles Waxberg, and spent roughly nine years acting in the United States.

Back in Turkey, he launched his screen career with the 2007 series Vazgeç Gönlüm and, that same year, was named Best Actor at the Golden Orange awards for playing Cemal in the film Mutluluk. After playing Mahmut in Vicdan (2008), he took leading roles in the series Ömre Bedel, Sensiz Olmaz and Eve Düşen Yıldırım, and later co-hosted the 50th Golden Orange Film Festival with Özge Özder.

He played Mehmet in Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim (2013) and went on to appear in the series Hatasız Kul Olmaz, Evlat Kokusu, Savaşçı and Yalnız Kurt, as well as the films Kervan 1915, Âkif and Prestij Meselesi. Widely recognised for playing Hamdi Karaçay in Teşkilat, Han went on to play Gabriel in Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi and, in 2024, Tura in Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam.
