Onur Tuna — Biography

Onur Tuna, born in Çanakkale on 2 July 1985, comes from a family with Thessaloniki roots on his mother's side and Çanakkale roots on his father's; both his father and older brother taught mathematics. After high school in Bursa he studied economics at Dokuz Eylül University, then spent a year on vocal training at Ege University's state conservatory. He first appeared on stage at six, studied acting at İzmir's Müjdat Gezen center, modeled briefly, and rounded out his training with private lessons after settling in Istanbul.

His screen career opened with the 2011 series Hayat Devam Ediyor, and roles in Filinta plus the movie Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi widened his profile. Cesur Yürek and Yasak Elma followed before he became widely known playing Ferman in Mucize Doktor, a Turkish version of the Korean series Good Doctor. After the film Ağır Romantik he headlined Mahkum as a prosecutor jailed by a frame-up, then went on to Şahane Hayatım, the web series Sarmaşık Zamanı, Aynadaki Yabancı and Geleceğe Mektuplar. He has played guitar and written songs since his teens, releasing a four-track EP in 2018, a single in 2019, and an album late in 2025. In May 2026 he was reportedly detained in a drug probe touching several public figures, his test later described as positive for cannabis.
