Nesrin Cavadzade — Biography

Nesrin Cavadzade was born in Baku on 30 July 1982 and is a Turkish actress of Azerbaijani descent; she is the granddaughter of a brother of the prominent Azerbaijani scientist Mirmammad Cavadzade, and speaks English, French, Russian and Spanish alongside Turkish. She came to Turkey at eleven, graduated from Marmara University's Cinema and Television department, and spent two years training as an actress with Şahika Tekand's Studio Oyuncuları ensemble.

She debuted on screen in the 2007 series Yersiz Yurtsuz, then rose to prominence in cinema with the lead in Cemal Şan's Dilber's Eight Days (2008), part two of his Love Trilogy, and that same year appeared in Gitmek: My Marlon and Brando. Playing Anna in Güzel Günler Göreceğiz (2011) won her a Best Supporting Actress prize at Antalya's Golden Orange Film Festival plus Best Actress honors from the Ankara International Film Festival; Kutluğ Ataman's The Lamb (2014) then brought a second Golden Orange.

Her television credits span Al Yazmalım, Fi, Kış Güneşi, Bizim Hikaye, Yasak Elma, Sandık Kokusu, Üç Kuruş, Bir Başkadır and Şahane Hayatım, while her films include Cemil Şov, Yangın Var, Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever 2, Song of My Mother and Son Mektup. She currently plays Şebnem in the Kanal D series Daha 17, and in May 2026 married Kadir Taner Uçar, whom she had met at a gym, in a small ceremony.
