Dilber's Eight Days (Dilber'in Sekiz Günü)

Dilber's Eight Days is a 2008 Turkish drama film written, directed and produced by Cemal Şan. It forms the second chapter of his "Love Trilogy", between Zeynep's Eight Days (2007) and Ali's Eight Days (2009). The story follows Dilber, a young woman in a poor eastern village whose only dream is to marry her childhood sweetheart Ali. When she learns the marriage will never happen, she shuts herself in the family barn and vows to wed the first man who asks for her hand; the arrival of a lame stranger in the village puts that vow to the test.

Nesrin Cavadzade stars, supported by Fırat Tanış, Mustafa Üstündağ and Necmettin Çobanoğlu. The film screened in competition at the 45th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, opened across Turkey on April 24, 2009, and earned a nomination at the 3rd Yeşilçam Awards.
