Osman Sınav — Biography
Osman Sınav (August 1956, Yeşilova, Burdur – 20 March 2025, Istanbul) was a Turkish director, producer and screenwriter.
He graduated from the painting department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1975 and went on to study textile design and then film and television at the same academy. After working as a copywriter at advertising agencies, he founded his own production company, Sinegraf, in 1984 and turned to cinema.
He became known with series such as Süper Baba (1993), Deli Yürek, Ekmek Teknesi and Kurtlar Vadisi, directed films including Pars: Kiraz Operasyonu, Uzun Hikaye (2012) and Aşk Kırmızı (2013), and produced series such as Sen Anlat Karadeniz (2018) and Yalnız Kurt (2022). He died of cancer in Istanbul on 20 March 2025, aged 68.
