And Now My Love

And Now My Love (Toute une vie) is a 1974 French-Italian drama directed by Claude Lelouch, who wrote the story and screenplay with Pierre Uytterhoeven. Starring Marthe Keller, André Dussollier, Charles Denner and Charles Gérard, the film follows the lives of a woman and a man through earlier generations, spanning roughly a century and several continents. Described by Lelouch as a tribute "to life, to love and to the 20th century," it is set in three different periods of that century, with filming techniques matched to each era.

The American title comes from the Gilbert Bécaud song "Et Maintenant," heard at the film's climax; recorded with English lyrics as "What Now My Love," the song became a worldwide hit. The film was nominated for the Best Original Screenplay Oscar in 1975 and screened at the 1974 Cannes Film Festival outside the main competition.
