Carom Shots

Carom Shots (French: Carambolages) is a 1963 French black comedy crime film directed by Marcel Bluwal. The screenplay, credited to Pierre Tchernia, Bluwal and Fred Kassak, is based on Kassak's novel of the same name, though the author felt the adaptation had betrayed his book. The cast features Jean-Claude Brialy, Louis de Funès and Michel Serrault, with Alain Delon appearing in a minor role. Produced by Gaumont, the film was selected for the 1963 Cannes Film Festival. Running about 88 minutes, it brings together several well-known figures of French cinema of the period in a crime comedy that mixes dark humor with the conventions of the genre.
