Goodbye Emmanuelle

Goodbye Emmanuelle (also known as Emmanuelle 3) is a 1977 French erotic drama film directed by François Leterrier. The third installment in the series based on the character created by Emmanuelle Arsan, it is a sequel to Emmanuelle 2 (1975) and remained the last French-language entry until Emmanuelle 7 in 1992. Leterrier co-wrote the screenplay with Monique Lange, and the score was composed by Serge Gainsbourg.

In this chapter, Emmanuelle and her husband Jean move to the Seychelles, where she ultimately leaves him. Filming took place on the islands in the Indian Ocean. Sylvia Kristel stars in the lead role, alongside Umberto Orsini, Alexandra Stewart, Olga Georges-Picot and Jacques Doniol-Valcroze. The story continued with Emmanuelle 4, released in 1984.
