Heaven Sent (original French title: Un drôle de paroissien) is a 1963 French comedy directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky. The roughly 92-minute picture was adapted from Deo gratias, a novel by Michel Servin. Its cast is led by well-known French performers Bourvil, Francis Blanche, Jean Poiret and Jean Yonnel, with supporting appearances by actors including Bernard Lavalette, Dominique Zardi and Jean Tissier. The film circulated in English-speaking territories under the title Heaven Sent and was selected for the competition of the 13th Berlin International Film Festival. It stands among Mocky's early works and reflects the comedic side of the director's prolific output during the 1960s.
