Kılıç Bey (Mr. Kılıç) is a 1978 Turkish adventure film directed by Natuk Baytan from a screenplay by Safa Önal. The story follows Kılıç, who is still a child when his father goes bankrupt and neighboring landowners confiscate the family's property, pushing the boy to leave for Istanbul. In the big city he builds a reputation as a tough man, and over the years he turns into a defender who stands against the injustices that wealthy employers inflict on workers and the poor. Bosses back down from many abuses simply out of fear of him, and anyone in trouble turns to him for help. Disturbed by his growing influence, a circle of businessmen devises a scheme to eliminate him by hiring a contract killer. Cüneyt Arkın stars as the title character, opposite Perihan Savaş as Cennet and Bilâl İnci as Bingöllü Cemal. Produced by Berker İnanoğlu, the film is a joint production of Sezer Film and Kunt Film.
