The Paranoid Family (Kuruntu Ailesi) (translated)

Kuruntu Ailesi is a Turkish comedy series broadcast on TRT 1 between 1985 and 1990, regarded as one of the pioneers of the sitcom tradition in Türkiye. It grew out of the stage play "Hüsnü Kuruntu," which aired in three parts on TRT in July 1985 and proved so popular that a series adaptation was commissioned. Directed by Uğur Erkır, the show premiered on 10 October 1985, was pulled from the air in 1988, returned in April 1990, and ultimately ran for 5 seasons and 121 episodes.

Gazanfer Özcan and Gönül Ülkü shared the leading roles, alongside performers such as Doğu Erkan, Gazanfer Ündüz and Fulya Özcan; Adile Naşit remained in the cast until her death, after which her final two episodes were broadcast. Tilbe Saran also appeared in the production. In later years the series continued under the titles "Hüsnü Bey Amca" (1994-1997) and "Bizim Kuruntu Ailesi" (1997-1998).
